What COVID-19 policies and procedures will WF&FSA enforce during the 2021 Floral Distribution Conference?

WF&FSA wants to ensure our members that the health and safety of each attendee is at the forefront of our minds. As a result, Conference attendees and staff will be expected to adhere to all Miami-Dade County COVID-19 policies and procedures that are in place at the time of our 2021 Floral Distribution Conference. The hospitality industry has worked exceptionally hard during these past few months to ensure a safe and enjoyable in-person meeting experience. What happens if the 2021 Floral Distribution Conference is rescheduled or canceled due to COVID-19?

WF&FSA is closely monitoring travel restrictions and other protocols in place related to COVID-19. The health of our attendees is our highest priority, and during the planning process, WF&FSA will be following all safe meeting protocols that have been established by the property and Miami-Dade County. If WF&FSA needs to reschedule its Floral Distribution Conference to a date later in the year, WF&FSA will distribute a complete refund for all registrations and hotel reservations, or if the attendee prefers, will defer their fees to the rescheduled date.

 

How do I register for the event?

Attendee registration will open on November 10, 2020! To register for the 2021 Floral Distribution Conference, please visit our Attendee Registration webpage.

How do I make my hotel reservation?

A rooming block has been setup at The Doral at the discounted WF&FSA group rate of $289 plus a $10 resort fee. To receive the discounted rate, you must make your hotel reservations by the cut-off date of January 28, 2021. You can make your reservation online or by calling the hotel at 305-717-6350.

 

What is included with my hotel reservation?

The Doral is offering a block of rooms with the options of 1 King bed or 2 Queen beds at $289 per night (not including tax and $10 per night) over the dates of WF&FSA’s Floral Distribution Conference. The room rate includes discounted valet and self-service parking charges.

 

What time is check-in/check-out at the hotel?

Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 11am.

 

What airport should I fly into?

Miami International Airport (MIA) is the closest airport to The Doral. The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is also a great nearby option. Miami Airport is 11 miles from the hotel and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport is 30 miles from the hotel.

What are some local dining options?

On-site hotel options include BLT Prime, Champions Bar & Grill, Patio Grill, and the Marketplace. If you are looking for off-site restaurants, be sure to check out the recommended local dining options!

I’d like to exhibit at the 2021 Floral Distribution Conference. How do I go about this?

Our Exhibitors webpage lists content such as booth prices, the exhibit floor plan, and the exhibitor rules & regulations. The show floor plan has been designed to adhere to Florida and Dade county regulations for social distancing. To maximize the safety of WF&FSA members and exhibitors, Table Top Spaces will be separated by pipe and drape. Please plan your exhibits accordingly.

Yes, WF&FSA has a designated app for the 2021 Floral Distribution Conference! Information to download the FDC app will be shared with registered attendees prior to the start of the event.

 

I can no longer attend. How do I cancel my registration and hotel reservation?

Hotel Cancellation Policy:

The hotel’s room cancellation policy (non-COVID) is as follows: Cancellations made within 5 days prior to 4pm local time day of arrival will be assessed a charge of one night plus applicable taxes. All other cancellations are handled on a case by case basis. Please call the hotel at 1-305-592-2000 for more information.

 

Attendee Registration Cancellation Policy:

Before January 22, 2021: cancellation with full refund
After January 22, 2021: No refund (except for medical emergency to be received in writing at the WF&FSA office, or if the conference is postponed due to changes related to COVID regulations)

Exhibitor Cancellation Policy:

If WF&FSA’s 2021 Floral Distribution Conference needs to be postponed or canceled for any COVID-related regulation or reason, all exhibitors will be refunded in full, regardless of the date of the announced postponement or cancellation. To obtain a refund for Table Top fees, written notice of cancellation must be received at the WF&FSA office by the dates noted below:

By December 31, 2021: Full refund
January 1-22, 2021: $700 cancellation fee
After January 22, 2021: No refund
